Dr Anne Horgan

Anne Horgan is a graduate of University College Cork.  She completed her basic specialist training with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and then undertook a fellowship in The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Toronto, Canada. Her clinical interest is in patients with gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. She has an interest in cancer in older adults and is clinical lead of the Geriatric Assessment and Liaison (GOAL) clinic in UHW.

She is the national representative for the International Society of Geriatric Oncology and is the National Co-Clinical Advisor for Geriatric Oncology with the National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) Ireland.  Dr Horgans’ research interests are in GI cancer and geriatric oncology and she has numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on these disciplines.
