Dr Caitríona Goggin
Caitríona is a graduate of University College Cork and works as a Consultant Medical Oncologist in University Hospital Waterford and the South East Cancer Centre. She worked in various hospitals in Medical Oncology in Ireland and was awarded travel bursaries for research from the Irish Society of Medical Oncology in 2017, 2018 & 2019.
She was awarded a Richard Steevens Scholarship Bursary in 2021 and completed a fellowship in Soft Tissue Sarcoma at the Royal Marsden Hospital. Following this, she was granted an RCPI Aspire fellowship in Geriatric Oncology. She completed a Masters through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where her thesis focussed on improving patient understanding of cancer clinical trials in sarcoma research.
She is particularly interested in sarcoma, cancers of the head and neck, lung cancer, and cancer care decisions in older adults.
