Dr David Burke

David is a medical oncology trainee from Belfast. He has experience working in early phase trials having completed a fellowship with the Belfast Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre.

He is currently undertaking a doctoral fellowship at Queen’s University Belfast on the topic of lifestyle interventions to counteract sarcopenia in the setting of advanced colorectal cancer with funding from the Belfast Trust Charitable Research Fund. Following his PhD, David plans to complete his training in a clinical academic post with a focus on Supportive Oncology and an interest in building up Geriatric Oncology research and services in Northern Ireland longer term.
